"I am currently a sophomore at CLC studying to be and X-Ray Technician.  I first met Dr. Leasure when I was 11 years old when my mother began working for the doctor's mother assisting with care for her Grandmother.  At this point the Doctor was just graduating from Lake Forest College and was passionate about her future in Chiropractic Care.  After seeing my mother and the Doctor so passionate about wellness and health it inspired to pursue a career in the Medical Field. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know each and every patient while helping them improve their quality of life and mobility through physical therapy."

My hobbies and interests outside of the office include not only studying, but spending time with my new baby sister, watching the Disney Channel and resting for the busy days ahead!

"I originally began chiropractic care while living in my home state of New Jersey.  I always believed in the approach to chiropractic care, but never felt fully comfortable with the practitioners I had worked with.  After moving to Illinois, I was anxious to get started again, as I knew I needed it!  I feel Fortunate to have found Dr. Leasure.  She was not only comforting, she was professional in her approach.  The atmosphere in the office was engaging and the staff knowledgeable.  So much so, that I started working here!

After staying home to raise my three children, I was ready to enter the work force again and be a part of this great experience.  Dr. Leasure was in the midst of growing her practice and I was very excited to have the opportunity to join her staff.  I look forward to coming to work each morning, and enjoy learning and growing with North Shore Pro-Active Health.  In my spare time I enjoy exploring the great outdoors with my family, and volunteering at my childrens' school."

My name is Cali Parisi Laursen and I am a rehab assistant extraordinaire at North Shore Pro- Active Health! I met Dr. Jordan Leasure at many Downtown Libertyville Events and we became great friends. From then on I have had a growing interest in wellness and health and decided to come on board and work at NSPAH. Working for Dr. Jordan and Jade Leasure has taught me a lot about wellness, health and improving my self over all. I have learned to cut a lot of "unhealthy" habits out of my diet and take supplements on a regular basis. This Summer I married my best friend, Jonas Knigge Laursen, and we are busy remodeling our new home that we purchased early this year. When I am not working at NSPAH, I am working as a Hair Stylist and Make-up Artist at Shangri-Lon Salon and Spa. I have been a hair stylist for 6 years and love working with people. That is why I love working at NSPAH because I get the opportunity to work one on one with a variety of great people who are looking to improve their lives. I look forward to the upcoming years ahead!!

"My name is Kate Healy and I am your friendly neighborhood rehab assistant!  I am a recent graduate from North Park University in Chicago where I earned my Bachelors in Exercise Science... Perfect for what I do at North Shore Pro-Active Health! NSPAH and I came together through another rehab assistant, Cali Parisi, who mentioned to my mother (her coworker at Shangri-lon) that Dr. Jordan was looking to hire a new staff member with experience in the field.  I was immediately interested, especially after a little research on the doctors and learning more about chiropractic and it's ideas and values on health.  I love that chiropractic avoids medications whenever possible and instead focuses on giving the body everything it needs to be healthy on its own through diet, exercise, adjustments, supplementation, and the like.  Since becoming an employee of NSPAH, I've been trying harder and harder to change my habits to live a healthy and happy lifestyle.  The advice that Drs. Jordan and Jade give me has been fantastic and I have been able to get a life-long skin condition under control by cutting out or replacing certain foods in my diet.  I plan on attending grad school in the future and always vacillated between Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, and Physician's Assistant but my time with the Drs. Leasure has definitely made my decision significantly easier... Chiropractic and I are destined for a long and happy future together!"

My name Carla Ponce and I have been working at North Shore Pro-Active Health since the summer as a rehab assistant. I’ve known both Jordan and Jade since I was eight, and I’ve always seen them as my role models. When I was asked to work in their practice I was thrilled because I have always enjoyed helping others. The health care field has always been something that I been passionate about. I love the idea helping others back to good health. I am now a student CLC, hoping to transfer to Lake Forest College next fall to continue my studies in the health field. I am hoping that one day I too will become a doctor, and continue to help others in making their lives better. During my free time when not I’m not at work or school, I like spending time with my family and friends.

“I love muscles. I first realized this in a high school sculpture class in which I was supposed to sculpt the human body. I had not been particularly successful with the previous projects we had been assigned and laughed out loud at the announcement of this project which seemed infinitely harder than the previous projects I had been struggling with. My instructor advised me that the human body was an amazing thing and to sculpt it was unlike sculpting anything else. He said I might surprise myself. He was right. As a result of this project, I developed a fascination with muscles… how they look, how they work and how they respond. This fascination continues with every massage I give, every patient I educate and every student I teach. Massage Therapy has become a way of life and I am extraordinarily lucky to have a successful career that allows me to do something I love.”

Jennifer is nationally certified and state licensed. She is a graduate of Chicago School of Massage Therapy, now known as Cortiva Institute Chicago. Jennifer also holds a faculty position with Cortiva Institute at their Crystal Lake campus. Jennifer iis skilled in the application of deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, sports massage, therapeutic stretching, swedish/relaxation massage and pregnancy massage. Jennifer’s goal as a massage therapist is to make a difference in the lives of her clients and patients. She believe strongly in the goals of North Shore Proactive Health in addressing health concerns from a natural, whole body perspective and in encouraging and providing education and resources for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Irene "Lucy" Pabst:Lucy_.jpg

I feel very fortunate to be a part of the community in Libertyville! I love working at NSPAH because I love the relationships I have developed with the patients over the past year and a half. It's really a pleasure working with people who are proactive about their health and getting great results. I got into massage because I wanted to help people heal themselves. When I worked as an ER tech for five years I would see the same patients over and over with the same problems and not making the lifestyle changes required to get better. That was something that inspired me to go into the healing arts.

I went to school at the Sanctuary School of Therapeutic Massage and Energy Medicine. I graduated with honors and received the President's Award in October of 2007. I am a Reiki Master, a Reiki-ssage practitioner, and I am currently studying oncology massage. I'm the proud parent of Forrester, 11, Tyler, 15, and Wesley, 18. I am an aspiring farmer and artist.

ann.jpgAnn Incardona:

The reason I became a clinical massage therapist was because chiropractics and massage therapy healed me when I had back problems!   Every since then, I have had great respect for both professions and the healing power they provide.  Working with Northshore Proactive Health, I have seen many people recover from their injuries and pathologies.  I love my work because I have the opportunity to be a part of the “healing team” that helps people recover from injuries and regain their health.  To me, that is the most gratifying job I can imagine.  Every day I can help someone is a day worthwhile!

Ann is a graduate of Soma Institute, The National School of Clinical Massage Therapy, Chicago, IL.  Originally from Minnesota, Ann has lived in the area 14 years and enjoys her two children, concerts, exercising, travel, gardening and interior design.
